Council Function and Composition

The Mission, Values, and Community Excellence Council, co-chaired by Mass General Brigham University's President and Chief Equity Officer, provides leadership for health equity as a strategic priority of the University, and is responsible for overseeing planning, activities, and initiatives to advance the University's mission.

The Council Membership includes:

  • Office of Mission, Values, and Community Excellence (MVCE Office)
  • Office of the Provost representative
  • Faculty: Two representatives and one alternative each from the School of Nursing (SON) and the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS)
  • Staff:
    • Three at-large representatives appointed by the Staff Council
    • One representative from the office of Enrollment Services (OES)
    • One representative from the Office of Student and Alumni Services (OSAS)
    • One representative from the School of Nursing (SON)
    • One representative from the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS)
    • One representative from the Office of the President (OOP)
  • Associate Vice President of Human Resources, Mass General Brigham University
  • Chief Communications Officer (OSC)
