Dominic is currently a student in the Rehabilitation Sciences PhD program at Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions and maintains clinical hours as an outpatient physical therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. He primarily treats patients with orthopedic diagnoses and those struggling with chronic pain. This reflects his research interests which include investigating application and implementation of novel, psychologically informed treatment strategies for people experiencing chronic pain states (especially low back pain) and better understanding how psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors impact pain states and pain trajectories. He is currently working with his research mentor, Dr. Eric Roseen at Boston Medical center, on projects examining effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions on musculoskeletal pain and novel methodologies and assessment approaches to more accurately capture outcomes from and utilization of complex and person-centered musculoskeletal interventions.
