The Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions graduated its first masters degree student in 1983 as the MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP). Since then, more than 12,000 individuals have received the distinguished honor of being an IHP or Mass General Brigham University alum.

In a myriad of settings, our alums are treating and educating patients, researching new methodologies, and teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals. Connecting with the Mass General Brigham University alumni network is a task you can work on each day as a way of building your own professional network. You have a long career ahead of you, so you never know when a contact might be able to help you and you them, of course. The network can help with more than just job searches - it can aid you when moving to a new city, learning from common work experiences and goals or deciding where and how to continue your education.

Once your email is received the Alumni Office will go to work to find possible matches for you. When matches are found, the Alumni Office will reach out to ask the alum if it is okay for you to connect. When approval is given from the alum, the Alumni Office will send an e-introduction to the two of you. In the message, you will be asked to make contact first. You can plan a phone or Zoom call or even meet in person if you are geographically close to each other.
