More than 300 prospective students, applicants, family members and friends joined the Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions Open House on Saturday, October 3. It was the first Open House for the University since its official name change on September 1.
Throughout the day, prospective and accepted students, including students entering the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in spring 2027, participated in campus tours, a student affairs and services panel, and a resource fair designed to introduce them to the University community and campus experience. Faculty, staff and student ambassadors helped bring the Open House to life, connecting with prospective students and answering questions about academics, financial aid, student services and campus life.
Rachelle Mainard, chief of operations and strategy and chief of staff to President Deborah Jones, welcomed attendees on behalf of President Jones, highlighting the University’s longstanding history and mission, noting that the University will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027.
Jessica McFeeley, associate director of admission strategy in the Office of Enrollment Services, said the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with potential students and support them through the application process.
“The feedback was so positive from both guests and volunteers working the Open House,” McFeeley said. “The energy was so fun, and it was such a beautiful day of connecting with potential students. We love hearing their stories and providing the support they need through the application process. I’m so looking forward to the next one.”
